On the Job - Advancing Vocational Opportunities for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Conference Objectives: This conference will explore key vocational issues for individuals with ASD, reflect on current practices including resources; challenges and opportunities for vocational development, support and evaluation; consider priorities for capacity building, indentify key considerations for measuring vocational outcomes; identify salient components of a proactive, integrated provincial/national vocational ASD strategy. Our aim in the conference is not primarily to yield definitive answers to theme complex and multi-layered issues, but rather, to advance evidence-informed dialogue and facilitate knowledge uptake regarding existing services, models and needs; ultimately advancing research, practice and policy.
Target Audience: This conference is open to: Individuals with ASD, families, vocational service providers, physicians, advocates, employers, policy developers, and researchers.
