Announcing a joint NeuroDevNet-Brain Canada training award in developmental neurosciences

NeuroDevNet is pleased, in partnership with @BrainCanada and Academic Institutions across the country, to announce a training‬ award competition for graduate studentships and post-doctoral fellows in any area of the developmental neurosciences.

Awards for PhD students will be valued at up to $30,000 per year for a maximum funding term of two years, and postdoctoral fellowships valued at up to $50,000 per year for a maximum funding term of two years. All awards include an additional $5,000 per year career development supplement.

"This unique alliance between Brain Canada, research institutions across the country and NeuroDevNet will provide the capacity to tackle the many emerging challenges that face the child with a neurodevelopmental disability, their family, and society," said NeuroDevNet Scientific Director Dr. Daniel Goldowitz. "This training will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to brain development and link together extraordinary training opportunities in academic, public policy, and industrial realms."

"This investment by the Government of Canada, through the Canada Brain Research Fund, will develop the future research capacity of Canada, by launching the first national training program in neurodevelopmental sciences."
