Formal announcement of joint RFA with Brain Canada at Canadian Association of Neuroscience conference
Dr. Daniel Goldowitz and Dr Inez Jabalpurwala President and CEO Brain Canada Foundation made a formal announcement of a new RFA to support PhD and post-doctoral training in developmental neurosciences at the Canadian Association of Neuroscience conference on May 26.
Dr. Jabalpurwala described the nature of the funding opportunity, which is open to trainees working in any area within the field of developmental neuroscience, and Dr. Goldowitz characterized the importance of the joint award as an underpinning of NeuroDevNet's efforts to develop a national training program in developmental neurosciences.
PhD studentships are valued at up to $30,000 per year for a maximum funding term of two years, while postdoctoral fellowships valued at up to $50,000 per year for a maximum funding term of two years. All awards include an additional $5,000 per year career development supplement.
Dr. Goldowitz encouraged trainees who are interested in the opportunity to ensure their home institution connects with Brain Canada to ensure eligibility for funding.
