On the Job - Conference on Vocational Opportunities for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders

On the Job - a NeuroDevNet-sponsored conference exploring key vocational issues for adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) will take place February 2-3, 2012 at the University of Toronto's Hart House.
The conference will address successful transition into adulthood for persons with ASD, and address the following aims:
- reflect on current practices including resources, challenges and opportunities for vocational development
- consider priorities for capacity building
- examine key considerations for measuring vocational outcomes
- identify components of a proactive, integrated provincial and national vocational ASD strategy.
"Innovative practices, evidence and next steps for individuals with ASD, families, vocational service providers, advocates, employers, policy developers and researchers."
