Toronto Star & Waterloo Record carry early announcements of $2 million Autism Chair Award
Reporter Kate Allen published online pieces for the Waterloo Record and Toronto Star in anticipation of the pending Nov. 5 announcement of a five-year research chair that will focus on gaps in mental health treatment and services received by youth and adults with autism.
NeuroDevNet joined Health Canada, Autism Speaks Canada and the Sinneave Family Foundation in contributing $1 million toward the chair. York University, home institution of chair awardee Dr. Jonathan Weiss, will contribute a matching sum.
