What is DNA?

Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, is the material that carries genetic instructions for the growth, development, reproduction, and functioning of organisms and viruses. There are several things that you can do to impact your epigenome positively. Evidence shows that eating well and exercising regularly can help prevent diseases like cardiovascular, diabetes, and cancer, all of which are believed to occur due to changes in the epigenome.

Also, practicing mindfulness can help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression, which can greatly improve a child’s epigenome. Besides, eating well, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy weight can greatly improve a child’s epigenome from conception to age two.
